Centre for Performance 2016

This fall Basketball Saskatchewan (BSI) will be offering elite training programs for those athletes born from 2000-2006.  As part of BSI’s commitment to developing elite basketball athletes. This year we have added an U13 categary to our program.

This year the programs will be branded under the Centre for Performance name and will offer 30 hours of instruction and will run from September to November.  There will be three age groups in the CP this fall, U13 - athletes born in 2004 - 2006.  U15 - athletes born in 2002 – 2003 and U17 - those born in 2000 – 2001.  Open tryouts will be held for both age groups on the September 10 & 11 weekend.  Focusing on individual and team skills development, the programs will help prepare the athletes for the high school and club seasons and Provincial Team tryouts held in the spring.

The costs for each program will be $450 and each athlete will receive:

  • 30 hours of quality training from High performance Coaches
  • Strength training at Level 10 in Regina and Ignite in Saskatoon.  For those outside the major centres a strength and fitness program will be provided for the athlete to use in their area.
  • Training consists of break down individual skill development as well as team dynamics
  • CP jersey, shorts and T-shirt

On-line registration is up at www.basketballsask.com Tryout fee - $30.  Tryout dates for each program will follow.
